This large and solid rosary is made with 4 mm Parcord Rope and 10 mm stainless steel beads.
Crucifix on this beautiful rosary is gold plated with red and white enamel.
In middle of crucifix is written IHS.
Very often in Catholic churches, people can see the letters IHS on crucifixes, stained glass windows and elsewhere. What do those letters mean? Contrary to popular belief, this monogram does not mean "Jesus Sustainer of the World", nor "Jesus Hominum Salvator" nor "In Hoc Signo". The letters IHS are most appropriately called the Christogram, because this is the ancient way Christians wrote "Jesus Christ". Namely, already from the third century AD, Christians shortened the name Jesus by writing the first three letters of His Greek name ΙΗΣ (from the full name ΙΗΣΟΥΣ). The Greek letter Σ (sigma) is written in Latin as S, so the monogram IHS became common.
Size of crucifix is 7.5 x 4.4 cm.
As central medal we have placed Most Holy Face of Jesus on one side and Miraculous Medal on other side.
This rosary is about 50 cm long and about 200 gr weight so it is not light and suitable to be carried as pocket rosary but rather with separate pouch that comes with rosary.
