This cross is made with vintage style sterling silver 925 ( oxidized silver ).
Oxidised silver is pure sterling silver that has been controlled tarnished so it gets nicer texture and it can be additionally polished with simple cloth polisher.
Size of cross is 33 x 24 mm.
It is possible to be purchased only a crucifix or with rolo box chain 50, 55 or 60 cm long ( 20, 21.5 or 23 inch long ).
Since older Christian painters wanted to give a strong image of the Trinity, they usually chose one of the following ways of depicting the Trinity: Jesus is depicted in human form or represented by the symbol of the cross or the Lamb; above him hovers the Holy Spirit represented in the form of a dove, and above it is seen the bust of God the Father or only the cloud through which he extends his outstretched hand. Later, both the Father and the Son are represented with a complete body (Jesus can be recognized by the nail wounds on his hands and feet), and between them hovers a dove, whose head, as with the Father and the Son, is surrounded by a halo. Later, all three persons are represented in human form, sitting side by side: the Father in the middle with the royal crown or papal tiara, to his right Jesus with the royal crown and to the left the Holy Spirit looking younger than the Father and the Son. Yet the Holy Spirit was most often represented in the form of a dove which was also the easiest to understand.
